Our Story

It's a golf love story. Dan and Brook met while working at the Pebble Beach Golf Academy 24 years ago. Together, they went on to open a new 18-hole course in Oregon where Dan was the Director of Golf and Brook was the Director of Instruction. After traveling to and working at some of the best links on the West Coast, the Brand family settled in Carlsbad, California. One day they thought: What if there was a new kind of golf club that had no home course, very low annual fees, and was full of like-minded people like us? With clear enthusiasm for the sport and an entrepreneurial spirit, this vision became a business. Today, the couple welcomes you to Brand Golf Studio, a dynamic community rooted in love for the game.

Brook Brand

Current Women's Club Champion at El Camino Country Club and Assistant Golf Coach at Cal State San Marcos. 2022 CIF Coach of the Year and Head Varsity Girls Golf Coach at Carlsbad High School 2020-2023, Brook honed her game working at top courses in the U.S. At Pebble Beach Golf Academy, she trained under Laird Small, one of the country's leading 50 teachers. Here in North County, Brook developed and shaped a comprehensive year-round golf program for middle schools that began with eight participants and grew to over 75 youth golfers in just two years. She is also passionate about engaging more women in the sport, helping them conquer initial intimidation. When she's not on the course, she's on the court, playing pickleball.

Dan Brand

Head Varsity Girl's Golf Coach at Carlsbad High School. PGA Class A Member since 2007 and Golf Course Management Graduate from College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA. Dan has been a golf professional at some iconic clubs and resorts, including Edgewood Tahoe, Poppy Hills, and The Vintage Club. Dan is passionate about the game of golf and is always researching and learning about the mechanics of the golf swing. If Dan isn't on the turf, he's in the surf. He's either at local breaks or chasing swells in Baja, Mexico.
